She turned to face him and he got up. He got a washrag and tenderly cleaned her up. Nothing was said between them. There was no need to say words. This next time…would be different. Not rushed. Not hurried. It would be special. They would know that their lovemaking had conceived a child.

INTRODUCTION TO PART 21
Well, this is the end. Téa and Samantha are reunited in a bittersweet reunion. Both are anxiously looking forward to spending time together. I hope you’ve enjoyed the series.
Hang on to your hopes, my friend
That’s an easy thing to say,
but if your hopes should pass away
Simply pretend, that you can build them again!
The Manning jet
20,000 feet about Llanview, descending
Early July…
“Mrs. Manning, you’ve got to sit down and fasten your seatbelt. We’re descending into Llanview,” said the co-pilot standing in the doorway to the main cabin from the cockpit.
Téa paused and looked at him. Todd looked up from his newspaper. Téa had been pacing, thinking about seeing Samantha again. Cameron had called prior to her leaving Puerto Rico. He had left the previous evening with Roseanne while she stayed behind with Todd. Cameron had arranged for Carlotta, Anton, and Samantha to meet Téa’s plane when it arrived.
“Right. You’re right. I have to sit down,” she replied contritely.
Todd said nothing only motioning with his eyes that she should sit down beside him.
She briskly moved to the seat next to Todd and fastened her seat belt.
“Thanks Mrs. Manning,” said the co-pilot. He went back into the cockpit.
Todd reached for hand, “You’re nervous.”
“I’m her mother Todd. For real,” said Téa fidgeting, “And if she’s been in New York…she’s seen some unpleasant things…”
“You know, I bet she’ll be happy to see you,” said Todd, “Look, Delgado, I’m glad you’re feeling better. I’ve…missed you.”
She tried to relax and smiled at him, “Last night…” she paused.
“What about last night?” he asked trying to pull her back into the moment.
“It was…very satisfying Todd. In every way,” she added.
Without a word, he leaned into her, brushing his face onto her neck. As the plane made it’s final approach, they remained intimate with each other, enjoying their tender caresses, Téa relaxing at his touch.
As soon as the plane landed, it taxied to it’s position at the Manning private hanger. Téa flung off her seatbelt and looked out the window. Cameron, Roseanne, Carlotta, Anton, Samantha, Blair, and Starr were waiting for them. Téa drew in a nervous deep breath. Samantha was wearing a jumpsuit and her hair was in a ponytail.
“Do you have the camera Todd?” asked Téa.
“Yeah, I’ve got it,” said Todd. Prior to them leaving, Téa had insisted they get one of those disposable cameras. He had made the effort and had kept it close by him ever since. Only he didn’t understand why it met so much to her.
Finally, the plane stopped. Téa was anxious. Her stomach was in knots. The co-pilot opened the door and lowered the steps. Todd walked up beside her.
“Ready?” he asked holding up the camera.
“Yeah,” she swallowed.
“You first,” insisted Todd.
Téa walked down the steps.
“Mom!”
“Tee!”
Téa briskly walked down the stairs. Samantha and Starr ran into her arms and the three of them exchanged a warm familiar, satisfying hug.
Todd walked up behind Téa as everyone just stood back and watched the scene unfold.
“Hey, what about me?” he asked.
“Daddy!”
“Todd!” the girls broke Téa’s embrace and hugged Todd. He found their attention gratifying.
Finally the girls broke away.
“Hi Cam,” said Téa politely.
“Hey Téa,” he replied. Blair said nothing just standing by his side.
Téa turned to her daughter and put her hands on Samantha’s shoulder, drawing Samantha into her.
“You look good Samantha,” said Téa smiling.
“So do you. You look happy,” replied Samantha.
“You, Todd, my family. You guys make me happy,” she replied so excited to be this close to her daughter.
Samantha smiled.
“So, how was New York kiddo?” asked Téa.
Todd picked up Starr and held her in his arms.
“New York was okay,” muttered Samantha.
“It’s okay to say you didn’t like it,” said Téa.
“It wasn’t what I expected. I found out…about you…” started Samantha.
“It made you sad?” asked Téa.
‘Yeah,” said Samantha.
Téa pulled her into another hug, “Don’t be sad kiddo. It’s gone. Those days are gone.”
“I missed you Mom,” said Samantha.
“Trust me, I missed you too,” said Téa pulling away to look into her daughter’s eyes, “I’ve got a lot of cool things planned for us…”
“Like dancing? Are you going to show me how to dance?” asked Samantha warmly.
“Only if you want me too sweetie,” grinned Téa.
“So you did it? You signed the papers? You’re my mom for real now?” asked Samantha a bit hesitant.
“I did it. I signed the papers. I’m legally your mother now,” said Téa. Her voice revealing how scared and nervous she was at that.
It was Samantha’s turn to pull Téa into a hug, “I’m glad. I really am.”
Téa looked past Samantha’s shoulder and up at Todd and Starr. A tear of happiness fell down her cheek and they smiled at her. And for a brief moment, Téa felt at peace with herself.
Roseanne walked up to Téa and Samantha and smiled. Things were going to be all right between them.
“Todd…do you think you could take a picture? Of Samantha and me? It’s just really important that I have a picture of us…right now…” said Téa smiling at her daughter.
“Yeah, sure Delgado…” he said. He pulled out the little camera and gave it to Starr who took a very spontaneous and impromptu picture of Téa and Samantha, their arms around each other smiling with satisfaction.
